Melbourne Australia City Link Toll
Citylink is a world class expressway with electronic tolling. It connects three of Melbournes major arterial routes and provides seamless travel between the Monash, Tullamarine and West Gate Freeways.
Toll charges can be purchased through Europcar when you make your car hire reservation or at the Branch at time of collection, the cost per rental day is $8.80 inclusive of GST.
Alternatively you can purchase a day pass directly from Citylink starting from $10.80 inclusive of GST for a 24 hour pass (or one day) or $3.85 for a pass on the Tullamarine freeway.
Before purchasing a pass from Citylink you must first have your rental car so the registration number can be entered into the Citylink system. Citylink does not accept AMEX or Diners Card as a method of payment via their website, but you can use these means of payment at Bill Express machines located at Coles Express outlets.

India's Expressway Tolls & Airport parking
Customers in India who wish to travel along any tolled expressways such as the Delhi-Noida Expressway or from Delhi to Agra or Delhi to Jaipur will be charged applicable fees at the close of the rental.
If you are using the Chauffeur drive option, the Europcar chauffeur will pay these charges during the rental, but upon rental closure the customer will be expected to pay for any additional costs, including extras such as airport parking.
Travelling outside of Delhi to another state may also involve payment of interstate taxes as applicable which the customer is expected to pay. All such taxes, fees are receipted and can be provided to the customers on demand.
Self drive option
For self drive rentals, it is the responsibility of the driver to pay all tolls and fees that may be incurred during the course of the rental. Any tolls, fines and other charges not paid during the course of the rental will be recouped by Europcar directly with the customer

The Philippines' Expressway Tolls & Airport parking
Customers in the Philippines who wish to travel along any tolled expressways such as
Cavite, North Luzon and South Luzon expressways are responsible to pay all tolls
and fees that may be incurred during the course of the rental. Any tolls, fines
and other charges not paid during the course of the rental will be recouped by
Europcar directly with the customer
If you are using the Chauffeur drive option, the Europcar chauffeur will pay
these charges during the rental, but upon rental closure the customer will be
expected to pay for any additional costs, including extras such as airport parking.

Vehicle Registration Recovery fee (Australia only)
Vehicle Registration Recovery charges apply to car rentals in all States and Territories throughout Australia.
This recovery reimburses Europcar for Registration and compulsory third party insurance imposed by the various State and Territory Registration Authorities.
A nominal fee of $3.50 per day is applied to every car rental

Airport recovery fee (Australia & New Zealand only)
The Airport Recovery Fee applies to all Rentals collected from any of our Airport Locations. All goods and services purchased or supplied from an Airport incur an additional charge. The Airport Recovery Fee is applied to the total Daily Fee for Australian rentals and is applied as a single separate fee of $22.50, depending on the location, for New Zealand rentals.

24 hour roadside assistance (Australia & New Zealand only)
Europcar's nationwide car hire locations provide clients with 24 hour emergency road side assistance in Australia and New Zealand.
The number in case of a break down for our standard fleet is 1800 625 035, this is printed on the Rental Agreement and Rental Agreement Wallet.
Roadside assistance is free for all mechanical damage defects not resulting from Renter misuse of the vehicle.
We charge for all non-mechanical defects such as lost keys, keys locked in the vehicle, flat battery due to lights being left on etc. Costs charged can be obtained by contacting Customer Service on 1300 720 055.
In the case of an accident you must always remember to complete an accident report form, giving a full report of the circumstances. If another vehicle is involved you must complete a jointly agreed report with the other person involved. Renter may be held responsible for costs incurred for damage to the rented vehicle if renter fails to complete an accident report form

Damage & optional coverage (Australia & New Zealand)
At Europcar, we strive to make renting a car an easy and enjoyable experience for our customers. It is important that our customers feel safe and secure in the knowledge that they have chosen the best protection package to suit their individual needs.
Automobile third party liability for bodily injury
When you rent a vehicle from Europcar in Australia and New Zealand, Third Party Liability cover for Bodily Injury is provided in accordance with the legal requirements of the country of rental.
This cover is automatically included in the rental at no extra cost. The level of coverage provided depends on local government legislation.
Damage Liability (Australia & New Zealand only)
When hiring a vehicle in Australia and New Zealand the Renter is liable for damage to the vehicle and third party property.
In the event of an accident, loss or damage to the vehicle or third party property, a Damage Liability Fee (DLF) will be charged for Australian & New Zealand rentals. This fee is charged regardless of who is at fault or the amount of damage. If the loss or damage is ultimately less then the DLF, part of the DLF will be refunded.
The standard Damage Liability Fee (inclusive of GST) is as follows:
- $2,750 for Cars, Minivans / people movers and Trucks in Australia, $2,812.50 for these classes in New Zealand
- $5,500 for 4WD / SUV, Luxury and Prestige Vehicles in both Australia and New Zealand
The above fees are subject to change. Please check at time of reservation or rental.
The customer can reduce the above Damage Liability Fee by paying a supplementary fee. There are three options to choose from:
- Windscreen, Headlights and Tyres (WHT)
- This fee provides protection for damage to the front windscreen, headlights and tyres.
- Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)
- This fee reduces the Damage Liability Fee in the case of loss or damage to the Europcar vehicle or third party property (excluding Windscreen, Headlights and Tyres).
- Total Protection Package (TPP)
- The total protection package combines both the Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) and includes the Windscreen, Headlights and Tyres (WHT) at a combined lower cost for increased customer peace of mind.
IMPORTANT NOTE
If the TPP or LDW option is chosen it does not eliminate the customers Damage Liability Fee but it does reduce the Damage Liability Fee.
At all times, the customer must comply with the Rental Terms and Conditions of the Europcar Rental Agreement.
If a customer is 21 or 22 years of age in Australia or 21 in New Zealand, the Damage Liability Fee can not be reduced.

Automobile third party liability for bodily injury
When you rent a vehicle from Europcar in India, Third Party Liability cover for Bodily Injury is provided in accordance with the legal requirements of the country of rental.
This cover is automatically included in the rental at no extra cost.
Damage Liability
When hiring a vehicle in India the Renter is liable for damage to the vehicle.
This liability can be covered by paying a fees of INR 300/- per day.
The above fees are subject to change. Please check at time of reservation or rental.
At all times, the customer must comply with the Rental Terms and Conditions of the Europcar Rental Agreement.

Damage & liability information (Philippines)
Automobile Third Party Liability for personal disability / bodily injury
When you rent a vehicle from Europcar in the Philippines, Third Party Liability cover for personal disability / bodily injury is provided in accordance with the legal requirements of the country of rental up to a MAXIMUM amount of PHP 30,000.
Damage Liability
When hiring a vehicle in the Philippines the Renter is liable for damage to the vehicle.
This liability is reduced by fees included in the cost of rental.
In the unfortunate event of an accident, the customer will be liable for fees listed below
- For standard passenger vehicle classes, PHP 3,000.
- For specialty vehicles such as minivans, PHP 5,000.
- For luxury vehicles and 4WD / SUV, PHP 10,000.
At all times, the customer must comply with the Rental Terms and Conditions of the Europcar
Rental Agreement.

Equipment information (Australia & New Zealand only)
For the protection of your children, child safety restraint seats are available at some Europcar locations in Australia & New Zealand upon advance reservation.
Babyseats cost $7.70 inclusive of GST each per day for Australian rentals. For New Zealand rentals, babyseats cost $5 per day with a maximum charges of $35.00 plus GST.
The Babyseat must be installed by the driver of the vehicle. For your child's safety, remember these key tips:
- Carefully review both the child restraint and vehicle instructions
- All children should be buckled up in the back
- Never place a child restraint seat in a seat with an active airbag
- Always get a tight fit - the restraint should not move more than one inch from side to side or front to back
- Make sure that the harness straps and clip are positioned and secured appropriately
- Set the example - always buckle up yourself!

Thailand Expressway Tolls & Airport parking
For both chauffeur service and self drive rentals, it is the responsibility of the
driver to pay all tolls and fees that may be incurred during the course of the rental.
Any tolls, fines, parking, other transportation fees and other charges not paid during
the course of the rental will be recouped by Europcar directly with the customer
Tollway entrance fee in Thailand is approximately 40 Thai Baht per entry.

24 hour roadside assistance (Thailand)
For added security and to give you peace of mind our Premium Roadside Assistance
Package offers corporate clients and their employees all of the following benefits:
- Emergency roadside service.
- Free towing per service request up to a distance of the 35km to any destination.
- 24 hour access to free technical advice in the event of an accident or breakdown.
- The services of a locksmith in the event that key get locked in the car.
In the case of an accident you must always remember to complete an accident report
form, giving a full report of the circumstances. If another vehicle is involved you
must complete a jointly agreed report with the other person involved. Renter may be
held responsible for costs incurred for damage to the rented vehicle if renter
fails to complete an accident report form

Europcar offers several liability reduction packages to protect you from high
costs in the event of an accident.
For chauffeur drive rentals, the hire rates include liability reduction, meaning
you will not incur any additional costs.
For self drive rentals, the following costs are applicable:
For vehicle classes EDAR, CDAR and IDAR, our Loss Damage Waiver costs 214
Baht incl VAT per day. This reduces your liability from 5000 Baht to zero.
For vehicle classes IFAR, FDAR, SVAR, FVAR, PDAR, PVAR and PFAR, our Loss
Damage Waiver costs 321 Baht incl VAT per day. This reduces your liability
from 30,000 Baht to zero.
