GENERAL
What types of rental cars and vehicles does Europcar offer?
Europcar's large diverse fleet has a model to suit your requirements. Each region has
its own specialised vehicle range.
In the Philippines, we have passenger cars including economy and intermediate classes, plus
people movers / minivans for those travelling with a group. For a touring holiday or
something special, we offer also premium vehicles and 4WD.
How can I access cheap, discount or budget car hire rates?
There are many ways to save money on cheaper car rentals with Europcar. Online bookings
offer a discount and employees of our business clients are also offered special rates.
Where can I find the nearest Europcar location?
Europcar Philippines currently services Manila and Cebu City including airports, however,
more branches in prime locations will be opened over the next 12 to 18 months to provide
nationwide coverage.

Does Europcar offer long-term rentals?
Yes, we offer long term car rental for all customers. To enquire about long-term
rentals, please email reservations@europcar.com.ph
Do you hire baby seats as well as vehicles?
No, we do not offer this service at present.
What age do I have to be to rent a car?
For both chauffeur service and self drive rentals the minimum age for rental bookings is 25 years of age.

What methods of payment do Europcar accept?
Europcar Philippines accepts cash for rentals, however, a 140% of estimated rental
charges is required as a deposit. Alternatively, we also accept major credit cards
like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners.
At the time of vehicle collection there must be sufficient funds available on
the nominated credit card to cover all applicable rental charges. When collecting
the vehicle the credit card holder needs to be present. Typically, the main renter
(driver) should also be the credit card holder. For more information on this

How many free kilometres per day with my rental car?
All vehicles for both self drive and chauffeur drive rentals come with unlimited mileage.
Can I tow using a Europcar Vehicle?
No, nothing can be towed using our vehicles.
What happens if I return the vehicle late?
If a car is returned more than 15 minutes later than the specified return time in your booking, excess time will be charged per hour.
Can anyone other than myself drive the car?
Yes, as long as the other driver(s) name(s) appear on the Rental Agreement. When
collecting the vehicle each driver must be listed on the Rental Agreement and they
must present their drivers licence at time of collection as well as sign the Rental
Agreement.
For one additional driver the fee is PHP 150 per day. For 2-4 extra drivers,
the fee is PHP 200 per day per additional driver.
Can I extend the car rental duration?
Extending the car rental duration is possible at time of check out or during the rental
itself. You will need to contact or come in person to the nearest location. The extension
is subject to vehicle availability and there will be extra payment required.
For self drive rentals, can I return the rental vehicle outside the location
operating hours?
Yes, you can return the vehicle after hours but note that you will be considered
responsible for that vehicle until it has been checked by a Europcar representative.
For self drive rentals, do I need to check the condition of the vehicle
prior to leaving the keys at the counter?
Yes, and if you find any new damages (not listed on the vehicle statement provided at time
of pick up) please inform the Europcar employee for a joint review of the vehicle condition.
Does Europcar offer one-way self drive car rentals?
Yes, we do offer this service but within the independent cities of Manila and Cebu City only.
Do I need to have an International Drivers Licence for self drive rentals?
A foreign Driver's License is acceptable within 90 days upon arrival in the Philippines.
For a non-English Driver License, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required together
with the foreign license. Please note that foreign nationals are required to carry their
passports at all times.
If I lock my keys in the vehicle am I covered by Road Side Assistance?
Yes, you may contact the nearest 24 hour branch for assistance.
Does Europcar charge cancellation Fees?
Europcar reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee if the cancellation is made less
than 48 hours prior to the stipulated pickup date and time.
What can I do if I do not have a credit card in my name?
You can use another person's Credit Card to pay for your rental, but only if the
actual credit cardholder rents in person at any branch location prior to or on the
day of vehicle pickup.
Where can I not drive the rental vehicle?
For information on restrictions, please refer to Rental Terms & Conditions.
If I return my vehicle and am due a refund, when will I receive the money?
For cash rentals where the refund amounts to less than PHP 5,000, refund will be given upon return
of the vehicle. For cash rentals where the refund amounts to more than PHP 5,000, refund will be given
within 48 hours.
Any refunds due to a customer where the rental was paid for by credit card will be processed
within five working days after the rental has been closed.
What do I do if I haven't received the refund I am due?
Please contact the location where you returned the vehicle and they will follow up any queries you have.

DAMAGE AND OPTIONAL COVERAGE
In the event of an accident what am I liable to pay?
Europcar includes liability reduction packages in the cost of your rental to
protect you from high costs in the event of an accident.
In the unfortunate event of a fault / no fault accident collision, this means that you pay reduced costs as outlined below
- For standard passenger vehicle classes, PHP 3,000.
- For specialty vehicles such as minivans, PHP 5,000.
- For luxury vehicles and 4WD / SUV, PHP 10,000.

ONLINE RESERVATION SERVICE
Can I check car hire rates without making a reservation?
You may request a car hire quotation and check availability without making a
reservation. Complete only the first pages of the rates and reservations process
stopping at the page entitled “Rates” to see your car hire quote. If you wish to
make a reservation at this time and with these details simply continue by pressing
the "Book Now" Button.
How does Europcar protect my personal and credit card information online?
The online reservation service is located on a secure server that guarantees
the safety of the transaction. The system uses SSL encrypting technology. SSL
works by encrypting all communications between your computer and our server so
the information cannot be intercepted.
How will I know my car hire reservation is confirmed?
At the end of the car hire reservation process you will receive a "Reservation
Confirmation" page with the reservation number highlighted. You will also receive
a confirmation email containing the details of your reservation.
Is it possible to cancel or modify my car hire reservation
once it is confirmed?
Yes it is. Go to the Edit my Booking page under the Quotes and Bookings menu and
enter in your Reservation Confirmation Number and Email Address used to make your
booking. This will bring up your existing booking and will have the option to edit or cancel.
